Reflecting on 50 Years of Building Vibrant Communities: A Message from our President & CEO, Chris Bond, PE

As our 50th year of HUNT ends, it's an honor to reflect on the incredible journey that has brought us to this milestone. Our namesake, Bob Hunt, took a risk in 1973 to rebuild a flood-damaged community - a vision that resonates perfectly with our firm's commitment to building vibrant communities. Now in our third generation of ownership, I am proud to share HUNT’s leadership with a team of fifteen – each of whom has risen to this position of responsibility because of the service they have provided you – our partners, clients, and friends, as well as our staff.

Returning to my hometown of Watkins Glen, I was struck by the imprint of HUNT on the landscape - the schools, roads, bridges, municipal buildings, water systems, and industries. It's a testament to our impact on communities, including the one I call home.

I vividly remember our joy at securing our first $10 million school project, a stark contrast to today's confident undertaking of $100 million dollar projects. It's a testament to our growth, expertise, and unwavering commitment to excellence.

Our firm has transitioned from hand drafting on boards to CADD to REVIT, mirroring the evolution of the industry over the last five decades. With over 180 currently active employees and more than 3,300 clients with 25,000 projects, the HUNT legacy is marked by growth, adaptability, and enduring client relationships. I am inspired by these successes, as well as the achievements of our clients who have gone on to lead government agencies and industry partners. Witnessing staff, who grew up with my children, contribute to the growth and success of HUNT while establishing roots in the community, exemplifies the symbiotic relationship we share with the places we serve.

I am grateful to all of you who have entrusted us with your visions. Your collaboration has fueled our mission of being “entrusted partners”, allowing us to thrive in our professional fields.

As we celebrate our past achievements, let us embrace the future with the same enthusiasm and dedication that has defined HUNT for the past 50 years. Thank you all for being an integral part of this remarkable journey.

Best regards,
