Starting in January 2021, Jeffrey Hughes, PLS became the Director of Survey, succeeding the previous Director, Gary Thompson, PLS. Jeffrey started working at HUNT in 2001 in the recently opened Horseheads office.
A mutual friend introduced Jeffrey to Gary, who was the Director of Survey at the time. Since then he's been involved in advancing the firms' GIS, GPS and Robotics survey technology.
Jeffrey earned his professional licensure in survey last year to continue progressing in his career.
He says he excited about learning the new aspects of managing the survey team. He plans to move the group forward by considering more efficient ways of approaching projects and coming up with better processes.
He and his wife Veronica have a 12-year old daughter, Mia. As a family they enjoy going on fishing trips to Canada, snowmobiling, gardening and working on their home.
