HUNT is proud to announce that Scott Cyr, RA and Michael Jones, AIA both recently accepted offers from the current shareholders to join them as owners of the firm.
Scott joined HUNT upon graduation from Roger Williams University in 1999 in the Architectural Department.
Scott quickly became known for his creativity and was an instrumental part of the design focus effort of a growing architecture practice here at HUNT in his early days. Scott advanced from Designer to Project Manager successfully completing major projects like our Alternative School of Math and Science in Corning, before assuming a client manager role for the Elmira City School District where he now leads most of their work in addition to special projects for unique clients like the Clemens Center and the United Way.
Scott gained his professional license in 2018. He became an associate in 2020.
Scott and his wife Amanda have three children, Gwen, Casen and Isadora, with one of the three in college. Scott and Amanda live in Elmira, NY. He enjoys camping and other scouting activities along with the kids’ gymnastics and dirt bike racing.
Mike joined HUNT in the Architectural Department following graduation from SUNY College of Technology at Alfred in 2006.
Mike advanced from architectural designer support to a lead designer, to a project manager and current Architectural Team Leader in the Towanda Office. Over this time Mike successfully completing projects in Alfred Almond, Prattsburg, Elmira City School District, Northern Tioga School District and was the Project Manager for the Bradford County Public Safety Building. Mike has been instrumental in our development of our PA school market building on the community inroads that the Towanda office has created. Mike’s skills of being a leader that communicates effectively and efficiently with the Owner, the Construction Manager and the HUNT team has led him to be a key part of the success of his projects.
Mike has been an Associate with HUNT since 2018 and is a contributor to our strategic plan initiatives in growth and operational effectiveness.
Mike gained his New York professional license in 2017 and then followed up with PA Licensure in 2020. Mike began working out of the Towanda office in 2013. Mike and his wife Ellen and their three children currently reside in Lindley, NY. He enjoys camping and fishing with his kids as well as coaching lacrosse.
