The Town of Veteran hired HUNT to provide full engineering and management services for the acquisition and construction of a pre-engineered bulk material storage facility.

Prior to construction HUNT prepared a Short Environmental Assessment Form for the Town and planned the decommissioning of the existing salt storage building that was aged and deteriorated. The new storage facility is an added benefit to the Town, as it poses no environmental risk due to the salt being stored in a structure built according to bulk storage of salt standard practices.

The 72 feet wide X 160 feet Super Structures HT Series building has a 40 lb. snow load capability and minimum wind load of 101 MPH. The super structure is located on Ridge Road in Horseheads, NY and will serve as a new salt storage facility the Town, with construction being completed just in time for the 2023 Winter season.
