Livingston County has sought and received funding to install fiber optic internet to all residents with less than 100 Mbps service through a public-private partnership with Empire Access. Funding sources: $27M from ARPA and $13M from USDA. HUNT provided all engineering services to provide a turn-key solution for the County and Empire Access. Construction is underway across all four county quadrants with four contractors

Project completion is targeted for December 31, 2026

ARPA-funded $27M project is the largest Municipal Infrastructure Program award and one of only two projects currently on schedule

The project will deliver 340 miles of fiber within a 30-month timeline
