HUNT has been a key engineering partner on more than 500 solar projects throughout New York State and Pennsylvania, and is using that experience in expanding into other regions.  HUNT’s engineering disciplines supporting solar projects include civil, electrical, survey, structural, and environmental teams. From due diligence on site selection, to permitting, construction drawings, and construction administration, HUNT has a broad range of available services to identify and progress solar opportunities.  The result is a unique offering of affordable, efficient, and effective expertise necessary to capitalize on the ever-growing renewable energy market.  HUNT’s solar projects have ranged in size from 355kW to 40MW.

Solar Arrays, Dansville, Batavia, Burns, and Allegany, NY

5MW each for which HUNT supplied civil, permitting, construction services, and Issue for Construction (IFC) plans.

Coeymans Solar Farm, Albany County, NY

40MW Solar Facility.  HUNT designed, permitted, is engineer of record, supplied IFC plans and construction administration.

Solar Array, Sweden, NY

650kW array on a decommissioned landfill, with NYSDEC closure plan, owned by the Village of Brockport. Efforts included geotechnical analysis and ballasted racking systems to maintain cover integrity.

Solar Arrays, Lansing, Erin, and Lenox, NY

5MW, 2.1MW, and 10MW with battery energy storage system.  Environmental work confirmed feasibility.

Solar Arrays, Wheatfield, NY 

5 MW, first of a series of projects secured via a HUNT term agreement for PA and NY.

Highbanks Solar Project, Leicester, Livingston County, NY 

Prepared site plans and permitted 20MW project to be constructed in 2024.

Solar Parking Canopies at Elmira-Corning Regional Airport, Horseheads, NY

Parking facility for 159 vehicles with a 500kW collection system with distribution to the airport.
