About the Role
This Transportation Engineer Position will work with a professional engineer to design and detail plans on a variety of projects, including State/County highways, bridge rehabilitation/replacement, local roads, and other site/civil projects. There will be opportunities to engage projects at all stages of design and construction including feasibility, design decisions, drainage, permitting, bidding, and construction administration. Qualifications
Minimum five (5) years’ experience, preferably with EIT, PE is a plus
Strong knowledge and experience in local and state linear transportation, pavement design, drainage system evaluation, intersection design, turning lane warrants, maintenance/ protection of traffic plans, and NYSDOT specifications/ details.
Microstation and/or AutoCAD Civil3D experience
Good technical writing and communication skills
Knowledge in plan and specification preparation
