In addition to directing HUNT’s Site/Civil department, Tim Steed, PE continues to be a key member of the HUNT project teams that provide civil engineering services to clients in the public and private sector. Tim is an expert in municipal water modeling, design of water supply and distribution systems, designs for wastewater treatment and collection, and storm water control.

Joining HUNT in 1999, Tim advanced both in leading the municipal work and corporate leadership, becoming a principal in 2008, being added to the Board of Directors in 2014 and promoted to Corporate Secretary in 2019.

Tim’s experience as a client/project manager enables him to efficiently manage environmental engineering, including developing hydrologic studies and designing pumping and wastewater treatment facilities. His project responsibilities include: contract documents and technical specifications; watershed drainage studies; drainage design including SWPPP (Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan); culvert design and replacement; stream repair and flood management; and, HECRAS back-water modeling. He also has experience in addressing air quality issues, securing Title V air permits, and conducting ISCST models. Meanwhile, Tim has become recognized for his expertise in computer modeling of water system hydraulics.
