Entry Level Electrical Engineer/Technician

About the Role
This new team member will work alongside our MEP team to assist with electrical system designs, power distribution layouts, lighting plans, and fire alarm system documentation. The role involves supporting senior engineers, incorporating industry standards and building codes, and learning best practices for energy-efficient and cost-effective electrical solutions. Responsibilities include: Assist in the design and drafting of lighting, power distribution, and fire alarm systems. Utilize AutoCAD and Revit to develop and modify design layouts and construction drawings. Prepare and review drawings and technical documentation to communicate engineering designs effectively. Research and apply relevant building codes, energy codes, and industry standards. Support senior engineers in preparing technical reports, specifications, and cost estimates. Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure project success.

Qualifications
0-4 years of experience in electrical engineering, power systems design, or related fields.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology preferred; applicants with an AS in technical disciplines will also be considered.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and Word (Revit experience is a plus).
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
Holds an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or is eligible to obtain one within one year.
