Daniel C. Bower

FORMER CEO & PROJECT CONSULTANT

In 1977 Dan Bower joined Gowdy and Hunt, PC, the parent firm of Hunt Engineers, Architects & Land Surveyors, PC, and he immediately established a respected land development and survey division, producing a long list of successful projects. Always interested in technology and efficiency, Dan has led HUNT in the adoption many computer programs, including: Autocadd, Softdesk, Haested and Integraph.  In 1989, Dan became HUNT’s New York Regional Office manager, and subsequently expanded his duties to oversee the firm’s financial, personnel, and policy matters.

After the firm’s founder retired, and a new corporate board was established in 1993, he was named President/CEO.  He continues in these responsibilities as a principal, overseeing the operations of the now, 130-person design firm. Under Dan’s leadership the firm recently converted an entire division to REVIT/BIM, launched an Operational Effectiveness Program, and is currently instituting an updated set of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).

Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Dan manages projects for the State University Construction Fund, Office of General Services, several colleges and municipalities, and various land developers.

In 2019, Dan took the roles of CEO and Chief Strategic Officer as part of HUNT's leadership transition plan, which named Vice President, Chris Bond as the new President. Dan will continue to focus on corporate initiatives, strategic planning and business development, while Chris will manage day-to-day operations.
