HUNT, a full-service A/E firm looking for a Mechanical Engineering Technician interested in joining a thorough, fast-paced team, with a focus on high caliber work while balancing employee work-life relationship over the long term. Position requires knowledge of electrical for a wide range of facility types and projects varying in size and complexity. Engineering and design experience with a focus on lighting, power distribution, and fire alarm/security to assure safe reliable and energy efficient operation with a focus on sustainability and cost-effective solutions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on the ability to organize and present design information to clients, as well as collaborate with all other disciplines to create constructible designs.
The ideal candidate for the Mechanical Engineering Technician will possess the ability to:
• Perform design functions including equipment selection, system sizing, load calculations, product
specifications, and design layouts for electrical systems.
• Incorporate a working knowledge of building and energy codes.
• Prepare design documents for senior engineering and client review.
• Team and support cross-discipline colleagues per direction of project leads. Candidate should be familiar
with AutoCAD, MS Excel, Power Point, Word and have proficient knowledge of lighting and calculation
programs. REVIT knowledge a plus.
• Qualified professionals will ideally have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Qualified
professionals without a Bachelor's degree will be considered with experience.
• Interest in licensure in the State of New York and LEED AP certification a plus.

Wage Range: $41,600 - $52,000 Per Year. Salary commensurate with experience and talent.
