Landscape Architect


Type: Full-Time Location: Rochester, NY HUNT is seeking a self-motivated, ambitious and talented design professional to join the HUNT team and be responsible for project designs associated with K-12 schools, College and Universities, mixed-use development, State and local parks in upstate NY. Ideally, a professional with 3-5 years specific experience in turf fields and school designs is a plus. As a Landscape Architect you will work as part of an interdisciplinary team incorporating physical planning and site specific design. Tasks will include all aspects of landscape design and construction document production from master planning documentation to detailed site design. This position provides the opportunity for growth and advancement. The position requires strong interpersonal, management, organizational and communication skills for working within an interdisciplinary design team environment. The applicant shall demonstrate an ability to undertake project management, planning level projects and detailed site designs is required as is knowledge of plants and ecology. Applicants shall have solid technical expertise in AutoCAD, Photoshop, developing hand graphics, technical writing, while proficiency of In-Design, Illustrator, Sketch-Up or GIS are a plus. Applicants shall possess a license in Landscape Architecture or ability to pursue licensure in the future along with a minimum of 3-5 years relevant work experience. Mechanical Engineer


Type: Full-Time Location: Horseheads, NY HUNT, a full-service A/E firm looking for an Mechanical Engineer interested in joining a thorough, fast-paced team, with a focus on high caliber work while balancing employee work-life relationship over the long term. Position requires knowledge of electrical for a wide range of facility types and projects varying in size and complexity. Engineering and design experience with a focus on lighting, power distribution, and fire alarm/security to assure safe reliable and energy efficient operation with a focus on sustainability and cost-effective solutions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on the ability to organize and present design information to clients, as well as, collaborate with all other disciplines to create constructible designs.

The ideal candidate for the Mechanical Engineer will possess the ability to: Perform design functions including equipment selection, system sizing, load calculations, product specifications, and design layouts for electrical systems. Be able to lead and influence the technical design solutions on prospective projects. Incorporate a strong working knowledge of building and energy codes. Prepare design documents for senior engineering and client review. Team and support cross-discipline colleagues per direction of project leads. Candidate should be familiar with AutoCAD, MS Excel, Power Point, Word and have proficient knowledge of lighting and calculation programs. REVIT knowledge a plus. Qualified professionals will ideally have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Qualified professionals without a Bachelor's degree will be considered with experience. The appropriate candidates must have a thorough knowledge NYSDOT and MURK procedures, knowledge of APPIA software a plus. NICET III or IV preferred.

Survey Party Chief


Type: Full-Time Location: Towanda, PA Survey Party Chief (LSIT with PA experience preferred) responsible for management of multiple survey projects (Field and Office) with a focus in the area of North-Central PA working out of HUNT’s Towanda, PA Office in conjunction with survey teams in the HUNT’s Horseheads, NY Office.

This position will be required to perform the following functions:

• Perform boundary, topographic, utility, right-of-way, existing conditions and as-built surveys.
• Utilize various survey technologies to complete projects (GPS and Robotic Instruments).
• Download and process survey field data.
• Analyze and adjust survey control.

Skills and Experience: Four years of related land survey work experience. Proficient with the latest survey technologies, robotic total stations, base/rover & network GPS units. Must be familiar with boundary, topographic, utility, right-of-way and construction stakeout surveys. Familiar with AutoCAD (Civil 3D preferred). Knowledge of land surveying practices, principals and techniques. Self-starter, highly motivated, team player with strong organizational and communication skills.

Project Architect


Type: Full-Time Location: Horseheads, NY & Rochester, NY HUNT is seeking an experienced architectural designer or architect to work directly with a project manager to formulate the architectural design and coordinate the engineering design of education and public projects in communities across Upstate NY. This role will require strong organizational & communication skills and the ability to provide direction to architectural designers to prepare construction documents and execute project designs. Interaction with clients and the ability to take responsibility for the design direction of renovation/addition/new construction projects is expected.

Transportation Engineering Designer


Type: Full-Time Location: Rochester, NY This new Transportation Engineering Designer will work with a professional engineer to design and detail plans on a variety of projects, including State/County highways, bridge rehabilitation/replacement, local roads, and other site/civil projects. Site/Civil Team Leader


Type: Full-Time Location: Rochester, NY HUNT-EAS is searching for a Site/Civil Team Leader, with a minimum 10 years of experience, to lead the Site/Civil design team in our Rochester NY office. The Site/Civil team focuses on providing services to four primary markets in Upstate NY: K12 Education, Land Development, Solar/Energy, and Municipal Infrastructure. The Team Leader will work closely with the Office Director and Director of Site/Civil Engineering to pursue new project opportunities, balance workload, provide general design oversight, and initiate team policies to increase design quality and efficiency. Management and support of staff will be a key role for this position including working with HUNT’s Talent Development Manager to mentor current staff in their career growth and hiring new engineers and landscape architects to meet the growing workload for this group.
