ALTERNATIVE SCHOOL FOR MATH AND SCIENCE

HUNT was selected to design a 36,500 SF addition to the existing school that included the following: two science rooms; art room; orchestra/chorus facility; gymnasium; lunch area and fitness area.

Underlining those efforts, the project was designed to attain a LEED Silver designation. The site design of the project included the implementation of “Green” infrastructure techniques such as rain gardens, rain barrels, and permeable pavers which decrease storm water runoff and promote infiltration at the source.

The atrium was developed with a connection to the lunch area to create a flexible-use space. The site was developed with an improved access and departure area, basketball/tennis courts, grass play field, and parking.
