HUNT Headquarters Building, Horseheads, NY
- Project Cost: $3.25 million
- Project Description: This 100-person professional engineering and architectural firm designed an innovative building incorporating integral landscape architecture and state-of-the-art structural, mechanical, and technology engineering. The building comprises three wings radiating from a central core, which includes common areas such as reception, conference, files, and break area. The main conference room, in the shape of an inverted cone, is a focal point of the building. The open office concept is achieved by using rigid frame connections that provide the clear spans and angled, curved spaces. The rigid frame post and beam structural system is an economical way to realize the geometry of the architect's intent.
