- Project Description: Genesee & Wyoming, Inc. (GWI) owns and operates short line and regional freight railroads in the United States, Canada, Australia, the Netherlands, and Belgium. GWI retained Hunt Engineers, Architects & Land Surveyors, PC (HUNT) in 2007 and 2009 to reconfigure their existing office space at 1200 Jefferson Road in Rochester, New York. In 2011 GWI moved their 120-person staff to the Meridian Centre Office Park in Brighton, New York. In 2013, GWI merged with rail freight company, RailAmerica, prompting the newly created firm to expand its holdings at the office park, including a total expansion of 42,000 square feet at Building 200 and Building 400. HUNT provided space planning, provided permit drawings, and completed furniture and finish selections for these expanded and newly renovated offices.
